Asset Management and Regeneration

It’s an exciting time to join our Asset Management and Regeneration service and help shape the future of Leeds. With many innovative projects underway in support of our ambition to be the best city in the UK we aim to improve lives for everyone who calls Leeds home.

In recent years substantial levels of development and investment have laid the foundations for our bold ambitions to:

  • double the size of the city centre
  • plan and deliver major new transport infrastructure through Connecting Leeds
  • capitalise on growth opportunities around transport hubs

Everything we do in Asset Management and Regeneration underpins plans for wider economic development, working with partners across the Leeds City Region and Northern Powerhouse to drive growth. Within the service our 5 teams are:

  • regeneration
  • strategic asset management including land and property
  • projects and programmes
  • station development
  • council housing growth

We take pride in the outcomes we deliver for the city and region, whether it’s providing local affordable housing, expanding school capacity to help families secure their preferred school, creating a new park for our people or handling property transactions to enable development in the city.

Our multi-disciplinary team of place-based professionals works collaboratively across the service, the council and with external partners. The team includes chartered surveyors, town planners, asset managers, urban regeneration specialists and project and programme managers.

Our service is forward looking, commercially minded and politically aware.  We welcome applications from experienced professionals with a strong track record of delivery through to those starting out on their place career.  Essentially we are seeking curious problem solvers with the agility, aptitude, technical know-how and enthusiasm that will help us continue to drive the council’s role at the heart of the city’s inclusive growth.

In return, we offer you excellent working conditions, with a contemporary recently refurbished office base that boasts sweeping 10th floor views across the city centre and IT-enabled hybrid working opportunities.

Chloe, Senior Project Manager (station development)

“I absolutely love my job. It’s a privilege to work on complex infrastructure projects in Leeds which contribute to growth and create opportunities for local people. Every day is different and I’m always learning something new. I’m proud to work for an inclusive employer which is passionate about its people and the services it provides for residents.”

Neil, Senior Land and Property Officer

“I took this role because the council’s behaviours and values strongly align with my own. I enjoy the variety of work, the supportive environment and great people, and the flexibility to work from home. It’s a rewarding role that contributes to frontline services by making sure council property is well managed, fit for purpose and generates investment income.”
